bu but my ears and neck and I cleaned my finger nails naUs today 3 I tried today to keep fingers pencils and everything that might be unclean out out of my mouth and nose 4 of I drank a a. glass glaM of water before fore each meal and before going to bed and drank no tea coffee correa nor other Injurious drinks t today ay 6 L I brushed my teeth thoroughly In the morning and In the evening today 6 I took ten or more slow deep bre breaths of fresh air today 7 I played outdoors or with win win- dows open more mor than thirty minutes today 8 I 1 was in bed ten ten hours or more lust st night and kept my window open 9 I tried today to sit up up and stand up straight to eat slowly and to att attend nd t to toilet and each need of my body at WIts its regular time 10 I tried today to keep neat and cheerful constantly and to b be help ful tul to others 11 I took a full bath on each day of the vf week ek th that t is checked x Total number number of chores done each day Boys and girls thirteen years of I I age may change this to nine hours Those under nine years should sleep eleven hours at least I wonder how bow many of those who read this live up to these chores chorea For the lade to anyone In the state of Utah A f few w days daS ag ago a young man came into my office offic and asked me whether I 1 I had my literature on the relation of climate to tuberculosis Such liter literature ture was available and I gave it to the young man at once Instead of going out he stood a moment moment moment mo mo- ment and then asked me frankly for my ray opinion on the case of a very dear friend I did not ask who it was was probably probably his brother brother- but asked a few questions The young man in question has tuberculosis in its early stages He has been examined by two physicians physicians both of whom pronounce it tu tu- tu One has urged the youth to go to Arizona The other has advised advised advised ad ad- him to stay in Salt Lake City and fight it out My caller asked me I what I would advise I told him I was not a physician t but that I would certainly let him 1 have my opinion as executive of the Utah Public Health Association Then I asked him if the young man had bad a back year at home in which he could sleep If he had parents here If he be would listen to commonsense coma com- com v a advice To all these questions questions quest quest- ions the answers were in the tive Knowing these things I then told my visitor that If the young man were my brother I would certainly advise him to stay at home In th the first place climate does not make a
