E Woods of J Myton Iton committed suicide In Salt Lake last Saturday afternoon by byJ J V shooting himself through the h head ad with a 38 calIbre revolver The shooting hooting occurred in the back hack yard of the residence of his sister Mrs VT W. W T T. Giberson He died five minutes after arriving at the emergency hos- hos pital Mrs rs Giberson states in a letter to the Free Prees Frees that John though suffering suffering suffering suf suf- fering agonies has been cheerful and smiling since he went there last February February February Feb Feb- in the hopes of regaining his health She had no idea he contemplated contemplated contemplated plated suicide At the Uintah basin hospital last winter Mr Woods was operated on for cancer of the ach At that time it was given out that death soon was sure For Fort Fors t s awhile after he went to Salt Lake he seemed to improve but lately he lie had several bad spells with his stomach and each time he was left weaker and less hopeful Will Jennings a nephew who is running the Woods ranch below Myton Myton Myton My- My ton received a card from Woods Saturday Saturday Sat Sat- but it contained no news of special 1 interest Sunday morning a telegram came giving brief account of the tragic death Then the letter came from Mrs Giberson In the pocket of the dead mans man's coat was was was' found a note to Mrs Giberson which tells the whole story It reads Caddie my dear sister we have nave had a long fight with this growth In my my stomach I dont don't r see that we can win I know you wont won't approve of self destruction destruction destruction de de- de- de but if I have to suffer and see no hope I think It only proper to take it in hand I I.
