Barberries in Molasses This is a very time old recipe and berries are are seldom so preserved now Molasses has been so thoroughly refined refined re re- refined fined and the proc process s has so changed Its color and ancl flavor that the old fash recipes do not yield th the old fash returns For tb the fhe benefit of those desiring the time recipe it is us as follows Four lour quarts of berries two quarts of molasses Pick the barberries free from flom the stems and remove imperfect fruit Place the ses mOla ses on the lire tIre In preserving kettle and when it Is boilIng boiling bollIng boil boil- Ing put in the berries and ancl boll boil them until they are full and ancl clear Place In Jars and seal seul Care should be taken that the preserve preserve Is stirred often otten or the molasses molasses' will burn
