Show GREAT SUPPORTERS Did you ever wish earnesly for help. Did you never want a supporter? support-er? Listen to what David McKay said, to support this paper in its campaign cam-paign for a better local mental feeling feel-ing among our own farmers: "Agriculture as a whole feels pessimistic and discouraged. It not only feels it but it talks it and acts it. As a result, there is condition of lost hope, lowered efficiency, and lack of spirit. AND THE ONLY ONES YOU HAVE CONVINCED BY SUCH TALK HAS BEEN THE BANKERS, with whom your credit HAS BECOME IMPAIRED." Thanks, David, thanks. If you had been on the reportoral staff of The Chronicle you couldn't have said H better. Your talk in Salt Lake City, i when you addressed farmers, woo! growers and bankers was the meat of the whole subject. Let us now apply that in and around Delta, and begin talking up our farms; talking up our water sys tems: talkng up our drainage, and its great benoflts; talking up our yields, and how it will win us out; talking up dairying; talking up, talking up, talking up let's talk up a bit. We've talked it down now enough. Let's pay taxes, keep the schools running, and keep the credit of the district good before the bond buyers. Then let's talk it up as a whole, and talk up the big campaign that is now just beginning to get under un-der headway to add 600 more families fami-lies to the region. Had the Chronicle said what Mr. McKay said it would have been bosh but from him It is a buttress of support. sup-port. Again thanks, the payment ot the poor. |
