Show The Delta Public Library will be kept open every day this summer from 3 to 7 p. m. excepting Sundays and Holidays. The Library is situated situ-ated above the Mercer Drug Store and the public is invited in. 0 On Wednesday evening Mrs. Dee Cox was hostess for the Delta Art iClub. Roll call was answered by current events and "500" was played play-ed at which Mrs. B. H. Smith received receiv-ed first prize and Mrs. Harry Peterson Peter-son the consolation prize. There were twelve members present and two special guests Mrs. Harry Peterson Pet-erson and Mrs. Clarence Williams. Delicious refreshments were served at 11:00 o'clock. o Mrs. C. TP. Elerding and daughter, Frances, from Chicago are the house-guests house-guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Austin. Mrs. Elerding is an aunt of Mrs. Austin. Aus-tin. 0 Mrs. Austin, Harold Vesper, and their guests, Mrs. Elerding and daughter left today for a trip to Lryce's Canyon. Mrs. Chas. C. Keeler entertained Monday afternoon, complimentary to Mrs. Elerding and Miss Frances Elerding; Eler-ding; Those invited were Dr. Tracy, Mrs, Mary Isles, Mrs. Ross Jackson, Mrs. Strickley, Mrs. W. R. Walker, Mrs. John De Lapp and Mrs. A. P. Austin. Miss Lyda Whicker, young daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Lizzie Whicker fell off a little bit of a step only six inches high, and broke her arm; why that girl will live to take many harder squeezes than that and never even break a rib. o Miss Inez Underbill returned with her sister, Mrs. C. P. Peppard from California. 0 Scout Executive Killburn is in Delta for the purpose of organizing organiz-ing a Scout Council of twelve business busi-ness men. Geo. Webster, former North Trac-ter, Trac-ter, is again in the country, looking it over. Geo. Bishop of Snake Valley was a Delta visitor last week. 0 Wm. N. Gardner Is working for he Peppard Seed Co. at Monticello; !f Bill siays over there next summer ; he'll have a visitor to see the bridges brid-ges with him. o 1 Glen Stewart, is visiting his folks 1 n Dolfa; g!:td to welcome hirn home '.gain, Isaac P. Rohison of Gandy was a : Delta visitor this week, en route to ; Si'ipio to take back his son who has been going to school there. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Killpack and Clint Black motored down from the. city last week and struck some very slippery roads, delaying them until the wee sma' hours of four a. m. getting get-ting here. 0 Will Killpack delivered a Dodge Sport Roadster In Snake Valley; sold last week. o The editor tried to leave for Salt Lake City last week, but Lizzie had one of her tempermental darned streaks on; funny about these gals, a hit it? When you want 'em to do flmething they won't, and when they want to do something they will. Well, anyway, Lizzie set her foot down, and they didn't budge. Neither did she. If she's willin' this week he'll fetch down his family at the week-end. o Roy Justeson returned from Cal last week, coming up the Lincoln Highway from near San Francisco to Ely, and then cutting over. Roy is looking well, and says he enjoys California Cali-fornia very much He may return if he gets his interests here attended to. Ray Black returned with him. Mrs. C. P. Peppard returned from a short visit to California. 0 Walter Stevens of Hinckley received receiv-ed honors at the B. Y. at Provo for swimming. Mrs. Ella Gardner o Kanosb. was a Delta visitor last week, coming over to visit her sister, Mrs. Ben Bunker, and her mother, Mrs. Simeon Walker, Wal-ker, A baby girl arrived at the home jf Mr. and Mrs. Calvin H. Jones. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bunker went to St. George to visit. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Pace went to i Lake City to attend a Pace fami-y fami-y reunion in Liberty Park. George Dobson went to Salt Lake City to be operated on for sinus infection; in-fection; he returns much benefitted. 0 D. H. Livingston was a Delta visitor vis-itor last week, looking after his cattle cat-tle interests. Mrs. R. I. Mills returned to Delta much benefitted In health, and reports re-ports her mother improving. A. L. Strange returned from a 'rip to Michigan and again assumes his duties with the Michigan Seed Farms of J. W. N'icolson. The Bunker Garage announces :bat it has a lot of used cars for ale, to suit any tapte and any pock-H-book. |
