Show EDDIG BELLS Word has been received here by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Heise of the marriage of Miss Ethel Heffleman and their son, William Heise, which took place in San Francisco on April 24th. The young couple are at present pres-ent residing in .San Francisco but they are well known in Delta and on the North Tract, for up until the last year the newlyweds lived here. The bride is a moat attractive and popular popu-lar young lady, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Heffleman, until recently recent-ly residents of the North Tract, and Mr. Heise, a veteran of the World War, is respected and liked by all The best wishes of their many Delta friends for success and happiness go with the young couple. Miss Martha Heise. has returned from a short visit in Salt Lake City. A man passed three worthless? checks on Delta merchants Wednesday, Wednes-day, and before he could get away was nabbed and put under arrest. He flashed a metal star, to show that he was an officer, and posed as being a Salt Lake detective down here after "a guy". The Myster Girls were entertained at the home of Mrs. J. H. Riding by Miss Florence Reeve and Miss Reva Beck, on Thursday evening last. The evening was spent in playing cards and drncing. Refreshments were served. Miss Wainona Bassett returned to Delta this -wek from Spanish Fork, where she has been attending school. The Grade Schools closed last Friday. Fri-day. Among the teachers who have left Delta to go to their homes are the Misses Wright, Funk, Leavitt, Hopkins, and Hlcka A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Macfarlane last week. Miss Thelma Coons of Cedar City is visiting in Delta the guest of Miss VI Dix. Miss Lucile Damron left Monday last for Washington D. C. where she will spend the summer with her aunt, Mrs. A. D. Ryan. Messrs. George and Albert Bishop of Garrison were in Delta Monday, having brought to the railroad the two Misses Davis, school marms who were teaching in Snake Valley. Mr. Bishop has a letter from Nophi interests in-terests about oil in his region, and also while in Delta was introduced to Salt Lake City men who may help that causo with investigation.
