Show SUTHERLAND NEWS. -;-- Bishop and Mrs. Jackson accompanied accom-panied by Mr. and Mrs. Dan Simkins went to Salt Lake last week to attend at-tend the funeral of Patrolman B. H. Honey, who is a nephew of Bishop Jackson. The Simkins baby was examined by bone specialists while in Salt Lake and it was decided to put casts on her knees for a year. The baby seemed normal and has learned to walk but throws her knees out of joint when angry. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wolfe visited with relatives in Provo last week. The Sutherland Farm Bureau accepted ac-cepted articles of incorporation at the meeting which was advertised and held for that purpose. Evan Ev-l ans was elected president, Wm. H. Bassett vice President, H. G. Ottley secretary and treasurer. The Home and Community Sections were organized or-ganized as an auxiliary to the Farm Bureau under the same corporation working conjointly with Mrs. C. C. Keeler as president, Mrs. A. R. Hut--on vice-president, and Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Bassett and Mrs. Ottley as other board members. The Sutherland Relief Society were re-organized Monday evening, February 25, on account of Si3ter Steele movng.to Delta. The new of-ficor3 of-ficor3 are: Rhoda Jackson, President;; Sepha RobisOn 1st councillor, and Gwendolyn Erickson 2nd Councillor. The Jolly Sttchers meet with Mrs. Sievert in Delta Tuesday, February 26, in a special meeting with Mrs. Wattls President of the State Federation Feder-ation of Womens' clubs. Sutherland Eighth Grade beat Woodrow Eighth Grade in Basketball last Friday night. I Mre. Millie Roberts entertained at supper Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gardner and Mrs. Lizzie Whicker. Whick-er. Mrs. Charlotte Steele was a Sutherland Suther-land visitor Monday evening. |
