Show NO DEER HUNTING . IN KA1BAB FOREST Kanab, Nov. 7. Rumors that hunting of the Kaibab deer herd has been put in effect are absolutely unfounded, un-founded, says R. H. Rutleilg", District Dis-trict Forester of the InterniounU'.in District of the Forest Service, who is making this town his headquarters while he takes personal g-ucrvsiou of the work of trapping M.d transporting trans-porting der from the Kaibab Forest to other points where these animals are needed to restock depleted areas. These unfounded rumors are so widespread that large numbers of prospective hunters are coming into town every day in hope of having an opportunity to hunt in this famous herd. Mr. Rutledge state that in order to test every possible maner of disposing of the animals alive it is Quite possible no hunting will bo allowed this year. In any citae he statea that the public will be apprised appris-ed In ample time and well in advance o that they wil have plenty of time to reach the shooting grouuds before the season ti actually oponed. All persons who wish to hunt in the Kaibab Forest should watch the papers olosely, as particulars will be published. |
