Show PROTECTION FROM GROUND SQUIRRELS. During the past few days a petition has been circulated in Fillmore and signed by every one, and It Is expected other petitions of a similar character will be circulated throughout the county coun-ty for signatures. The petition reads aa follows: To the Honorable Hoard of County Commissioners of Millard County: "We, the undersigned citizens, feeling feel-ing the great necessity for the extermination exter-mination of the destructive pest com monly called "ground squirrel," petition pe-tition your honorable body to tike such effective steps as in your minds ' aeem necessary to protect the farmers of the county from these destructive j animals. We ask your honorable body to lake Immediate steps In this direr- 1 tlun, as now is the time of the yeir when methods of extermination would bo most effective." The farmers around Fillmore, like J those In nearly every part ol the ' county, hive suffered greatly from' these little pests and united action J should be taken to abate the nui sance. !
