Show FARMERS' UNION. Farm Demonstrator Welch formed a farmers' organization at Fillmore and llohlen lust week. The officers are W. L. Jones, president; Peter Bruuson, first vice-president; J. W, Williams, second vice president; C. Trimble, secretary; Vern Bartholomew, Bartholo-mew, treasurer. ,JUi; M, Winor, Irrigation engineer was present and talked to the farmers r on tbe principles of Irrigation. There was a very good representation of farmers present and a very enthusiastic enthus-iastic meeting waa held. Several of the farmers were enlisted as co-operstors, co-operstors, and will set aside a portion of their farms for experimental plots to be farmed under the direction of these demonstrators. Prof. Wlnsor Is also experienced In demonstration work, having been on the service in Colorado for some time. He says it la getting the best results with farmers of any method yet tried. The officers of the organization at Holden are W, L. Stevens, president; A. Poulson, vice-president; S. ! P. Teeples, secretary treasurer. In this place also were round farmer glad to cooperate with the demonstrator. The rabbit nuisance is a aerlous problem on the east side, this pest hav-ing hav-ing destroyed a large portion of the dry grain over there this season. Mr, Welch believes the only way to combat com-bat this pest Is by building rabbit tight fauces around the farms. They multiply so fsit that It seems impossible impos-sible to exterminate them, though thousands of them were killed last winter.
