In addition to giowing and turning under clover crops and feeding the soil with mineral fertilizers, It Is profitable to dress the orchard soil frequently with stable manure, the b st of general fertilizers If five or ten acres of orchard are handled In the mnnner of toil treatment, and the trees cared for In a proper manner, man-ner, and the fruit packed and shipped In tho highest approved manner more char profits will be realized than from forty to eighty acres that Is simply planted and left to take care of Itself.
