Show spent a pleasant afternoon at II. E.' Heck's, last Sunday playing tennis. Camp 1 on the South Tract looks like a clean, neatly laid out, new little town with about fifteen or twenty separate buildings. Sou lli Tract Review On Saturday, July 15th, the - Ladies Economics Club will put their best foot forward in the way of holding a social and bazar at the home of A. E. Beck. A short program will be rendered and the Delta Band will help to liven up the crowd. Ice cream, cake, sandwiches and coffee will be served from 8, p. m., till sun up. Come out and help us have a good time for a good cause. The South Tract can boast of some fine fields of grain and alfalfa al-falfa while some fields of grain are almost a failure. If you want to see the busiest part of Millard county, just take a drive out toward Mud Lake. There you will find the Jones Bro's with their crew doing the farming stunt, then you will find Fidel and Johnson with their gang of men putting in 80 or 90 miles of ditch and finally will run onto one, two, three, great big, powerful, splendid machines making ditch and lay ing tile. Then drive to camp 1, where you will find Mr. Cramer, the King Bee of this great work. The Project settlers have never been so busy in all their lives as they are this summer, working for the Delta Land & Water Co., which is draining their land. When this system is completed, this land will be second to none in the county for farming. Mr. Cramer, the head of the company work on the South Tract, has built him a cozy home near Mr. Beache's, and now has his wife and daughter with him. A new residence is to go up at once on the Nelson Ranch, eighty rods east of the cotton wood corner. Roy Hire, of California, brother broth-er of C. A. Hire, who was here four years ago for a few months, has returned to us again, and we hope will make his home here. The drainage Co. is having some trouble to get tile fast enough to keep their three big machines busy. Miss Florence Johnson, whose home and work as a school teacher, teach-er, is in Nebraska, is here spending spend-ing her summer vacation with her brother Frank.
