A was an elaborate affair from the standpoint standpoint stand stand- point of the decorations the stand stand-j royal procession and the crowning of the queen the lovely costumes of ot the attendants the page and the scroll reader the exceptionally fine Cine music rendered by the Stake orchestra orchestra orchestra estra and the large crowd attend attend- ing The hall was decorated in Gold find ond Green with green being pre pre- dominant Strips were put in an unusual fashion along the ceiling on wires with an array of balloons alon along each strip of paper covering most of the ceiling space The TheM M M. Men and Gleaners under the direction of Mr La Fevre and Norma Norma Norma Nor Nor- ma Bishop were appointed by the mutual officers to help with the decoration of the hall The throne was beautifully decorated decorated dec decorated dec dec- orated and set upon an elevated platform which was covered and surrounded with artificial grass The arrival of the lovely queen Norma Chaffin and her partner Dale Bishop was announced by a anage anage nage oage trumpeting their coming and by a scroll reader announcing from fromn n n official scroll The page was Don Morris and the scroll reader was Birdie Lou Hilton These two were appropriately dressed the page being in gold and green page I uniform and the scroll reader in a shining white dress All floor show numbers were also announced from the scroll which was cleverly written written writ writ- I ten penned by Ruth Talbot and Belva Morris The Queen and her partner were preceded by the crown-bearer crown who was the tiny Ray Bishop dressed in gold and green uniform and J they were CoIl followed owed by ten wee at att attendants who were all dressed in ruffled paper crepe-paper dresses of gold and green with bows of the opposite opposite opposite op op- op- op color on the dresses They were arranged in alternating col col- col- col ors These girls were Sandra Jensen Jensen Jensen Jen Jen- sen Annette Petersen Karolyn Morris Linda Lou Talbot Beth Hepworth Donnell Robinson Carolyn Carolyn Caro Caro- Carolyn lyn Nielson Sue Bishop Patsy Pratt and Rosalie Hilton The floor show consisted of three dance numbers the first being done by the attendants of the queen the second being done by the M. M Men Dien and Gleaner Girls and the third being danced by the Special Interest Group under the direction of Elaine Hardy The M. M Men and Gleaners who danced were Glenda Cropper Ruth Petersen Francis Bishop lone Hilton Hilton Hilton Hil Hil- ton Evelyn Bliss Lola Wright Parry Parry Parry Par Par- ry Taylor Blaine Wilson Clinton Langston Wallace Kernell Dale Love and Max Humphries Those in the Special Interest dance were Belva and Harold Morris Morris Morris Mor Mor- ris Bertha Love Cluff Talbot Elaine Hardy Lynn Talbot Clara and anel George Stewart and Angie and Dana Pratt The mutual officers wish to thank all who helped in the preparation preparation preparation prep prep- of the dance and the good crowd that attended especially those from neighboring towns to help make the dance a successful one |
