N Hinckley the first bishop of or the ward It was in the year ear of that a canal was built from the Deseret Ir Irrigation Irrigation Irrigation Ir- Ir Cos Co's canal and water made available l for this community which slowly grew until it Is now quite an imposing with many fine houses and yards surrounded by stately trees and beautiful ful flowers shrubbery and fruit trees tastily decorating decorating decorating dec dec- orating the yards and adjoining gardens Hinckley Is a very pretty place to visit in the if summer The business establishments consist of or the Pratt Mercantile Cos Co's big general store whore ones one's wants may be satisfied In almost any line Joseph grocery furnishing and notion store tore a harness shop and a 11 blacksmith shop The Millard Academy Is also loca located ed here bere and enjoys a large enrollment of students from all over the valle valley Besides the Academy the town of Hinckley has hasa a comfortable grade school employing a number of ot teachers A spur of the Salt Lake Route was built Into Hinckley this fall and a beet dump erected adjoining adjoinIng adjoining adjoin adjoin- ing the town for Cor the beet growers' growers convenience Those round Hinckley are highly highl pleased with their experience at beet culture this year ear altho they they have something yet to to learn in their propagation and and look forward to a much larger yield next year ear |
