Show Mrs Maifield Maxfield Painfully Injured While Whole Mrs Mn H H. H E E E. E Maxfield was wa taking her daughter Miss Mess Helen to w the Millard Academy earl early Monday morning the pony which has been used as a cattle pony considerably in passing some cows cowa along the road swerved swerved swerved ed to w one side aide following a cow coi that turned from the road quite quit abruptly the pony following turned so quickly and sharply that one shaft was broken this frightened the pony and jumping around but not attempting to run the occupants of the buggy were thrown out quite forcibly Mrs Maxfield being thrown between the front wheel and the bed of the buggy sustaining a painful and ugly gash gh near her right ear which required four stitches had one rib broken on the right side and received minor cuts and bruises on the tha face and head all which were so serious that she was unconscious for several hours following the mishap M MIss Mess s sHelen Helen was also quite violently thrown from the vehicle but sustained sus sus- tamed only minor bruises on th the face Mrs Mn Maxfield's Maxfield s condition was w. considered so serious for a time that it was thought she had internal injuries and her husband was by wire to w come com home at once he arriving Tue Tuesday Tuesday Tues Tues- day morning and was gratified upon his arrival to w find that the wife was recovering nicely under the care of Dr Broaddus s. s |
