Cox, from trovo, spent Sunday in Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Lelnnd Peterson of Lc Urande, Oregon, visited In JVItu last week. Jack Killpaek from Reno, Nevada is visiting his brothers, Will and Marion t his week. Mrs. J. W. Johnson and son, Harold, Har-old, from Salt Lake City, spent the past, week end visiting friends ami relatives in Hinckley and Delta. Harold has just received his release re-lease from the navy, where he spent two years In the South Pacific. Paci-fic. Mr. nnd Mrs. Lafe Morley played host and hostess lo a. number of 1 heir friends last week end when Mr. and Mrs. Jim Daughtery of Los Angeles, Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Snarr of Los Vegas, Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Rasmussen of Salt Lake City nnd Mr. nnd Mrs. Chollon Halliday of Tooele all came to Delta for a visit. The crowd motored to Candy, Saturday night, for a barbecue and departed for their homes Monday Mon-day afternoon. R. H. Rassett is visiting in Delta this week with his brother, Wil- iliam H. Bassett. Mr. R-assott is with the Desert chemical ordinance, and was here two years ago. I. R. Parker, on vacation from 4 his work at Ruth, Nevada, is visit-I visit-I ing in Delta with his wife, Mrs. Thenelda Parker, and their son, Don. Miss Dorothy Black, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Black, returned return-ed to Delta this week nfter a visit of ten days in Salt Lake City with her aunt, Mrs. Lillis Larson. Jos. Mercer Jr. returned, Sunday, from a trip to Salt Lake, bringing home with him his grandmother, Mrs. Viola Nevius. Mrs. Nevius has been there with her daughter, Pearl Mercer, and grandaughter, Alice Watson, and is returning to live here. Mrs. A. W. Stephenson nnd her three children, Ray, Patty nnd John, from Cedar City, spent Monday Mon-day night in Delta with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Avery Bishop. B They left Tuesday morning, to go to Denver, where they will spend a week with Mr. Stephenson, who is there for summer school. Their father A. E. Stephenson, is making the trip with them. Mr. and Mrs. T. L. King, and Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Tanner, of Salt Lake City, have returned from a trip to Idaho, where they spent a week in Homedale with their sister, Mrs. Amy Smoot. Mr. and Mrs. Chant Bishop re-I re-I urned last week from Salt Lake; City, where Ihey had taken their Utile duaghter, Janice, aged two next October, lo the hospital. The child has been seriously ill, and Is under observation at. the hospital before an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Bishop are returning lo Salt Lake City on Kriilay. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Iiohn and family fam-ily from Kly, Nevada, visited in Delta last week with their brother, Alvln Bohn and' family. They arrived ar-rived Thursday, returning from a trip to Toledo', Ohio, and Ihey all spent 1'iiday, in Mill'ord for Hie races, and left Saturday for Kly. Mr. and Mis. Karl Hoi man and their children, and Mrs. llohnan's mother, Mrs. Keppler, visited in Pnuguiteh from Saturday to Monday Mon-day Willi Mr. and Mrs. Verne llol-man. llol-man. At the same time, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Plus and grandchild, from Los Angeles, and Mrs. Ray llolmnn, and her four daughters, from Com jit on, California, arrived for a visit and will visitin Delta later this month. Mrs. Karl Holman and her two daughters will leave next week for Anaconda, Montana, where they will visit. Mrs. Keppler, Mrs. Hol-man's Hol-man's mother, who has been visiting visit-ing here for a month, Is returning to her home in Anaconda witii them. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ashbby entertained enter-tained at bridge Saturday night for Mr. and Mrs. Homer Petersen, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Stapley, Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Beekwith, Mr. and Mrs. Orran Ashby and Mr. nnd Mrs. Frank Lieberman. The Petersons Peter-sons won high score and the Lieb-ermans Lieb-ermans the low score. Mr. and Mrs. Will Killpaek and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Killpaek returned re-turned last week from a trip in Nevada. They drove from here to Kly, viewed the pit at Ruth, and went on to Reno. From there they visited Lake Tahoe, Pyramid Lake, Carson City and Virginia City. When they returned their brother, Jack Killpaek, of Reno, came with them for a visit here. W. E. Cook, from Ely, Nevada, spent Saturday and Sunday in Delta with his wife and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. William Niebol of Richmond, California, were visitors to Delta and Oasis. Mrs. Niebel's duaghter, Mr. and Mrs. John P. Johnson, nnd son, Dewey Bulkley, Jr. accompained them. They attended at-tended the wedding on Saturday ot Miss Shirley Sanford and Ensign Otho Bulkley, a son of Mrs. Niebel, The Cookett club met at Lucile Bennion's home Tuesday, June 22 at 3 p. m. Demonstrations on the preparation'of cereals were given. Carol Dawn Sorenson and Kalae Knight demonstrated preparations of muffins. Betty Wies gave the lesson on the 4-H health program |
