Show Honorable Mention In Clean-Up Drive Honorable mention of those whose efforts this week on cleanup clean-up are due; The Odd Fellows, who spent Clean-Up Day, May 1, in working on the cemetery. They cleaned the entire grounds, removed all litter i and cans, pruned trees and shrubs and in other ways beautified the ; appearance of the grounds. They have made this work their contribution contri-bution on the clean-up campaign for the past two years. George Mayer, who has tackled one of the biggest jobs in town in cleaning up wrecked cars and old metals on his lot on Clark Street. He and a crew of helpers have already al-ready made big inroads on the accumulation ac-cumulation of junk that is there, a large pile of it piled up during the metal salvage drives. They are hauling it off, and in time Mr. Mayer will have the site cleaned up. Mr. and Mrs. Will Warnick, and their neighbor, Mrs. E. Blackburn, who have new coates of paint on their homes. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith, who have added considerably to their grounds with garden and flowers. |
