Show DELTA ROOK CLUB . . . Mrs. Zerma Schlappi was hostess to the Delta rook club at the home of Adeline Jeffery Thursday evening. eve-ning. Prizes were won by Verna Gardner, Martha Christensen and Rayma Brush. Members present were Lillian Warnick, Nettie Clark, Margaret Gardner, Sylvia Payne,. Phyllis Wood, Betty Turner, Elaine Knight Martha Christensen, Coral Schlappi, Schlap-pi, Orva Ogden, Bertha Owens,, Agnes Ag-nes Allen, Donna Sorenson, and Frances Whicker. Guests were Verna Ver-na Gardner, Rayma Brush, LaRee Davis, Maurine Jeffery, Leona Jeffery Jef-fery and Ruth Jensen. Miss Carole Willden returned this week from a visit in Salt Lake City with her sister, Mrs. Mae Stut-bert. Stut-bert. Mrs. Stubbert and her little daughter came to Delta with her for a week's visit here. Miss Ada Allred, a cadet nurse taking training in Salt Lake City, visited her mother in Delta over the weekend. There will be a special auxiliary meeting at the home of Clara Kill-pack Kill-pack next Friday, Aug. 24. at 8:30 p. m. Please make an effort to be there. - Miss Nora Wallace, of Salt Lake City, is spending this week in Delta Del-ta with her mother, Mrs. Waiora Wallace. M-S Roy Smith, and M-S Orran Ashby, in one car, and M-S Homer Petersen, M-S Jim Petersen, and Sgt. Ward Petersen, made a trip last week through Idaho to Butte, Mont., and returning by way of the Yellowstone National Park.
