Show 01 Perianal !)nteted,t Mrs. Elizabeth Bushnell, from Meadow, visited in Delta last week with her daughter, Mrs. Emil Pearson. Pear-son. Mrs. Bushnell has been in poor health for some time, and went to Salt Lake City this week with Mr. and Mrs. Dale Pearson, 'to visit a specialist there. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse F. Warren, v and their two sons, Farley and Gail, v spent the week end in Delta with Mrs. Warren's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Warnick. They made their home in Salt Lake City while Mr. Warren was in the service, and since his return from overseas. They are leaving there this week for Florida, Mr. Warren's home state, and will make their home there. Mrs. Clara B. Davis has returned to her home in Los Angeles, after a ten days visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Bullock Mr. and Mrs. Davis flew from Los Angeles to New York on a 54 passenger air liner (in 12 hours) to attend a convention in Atlantic City, N. J. Mrs. Davis visited in Philadelphia with friends for several sev-eral days before coming to Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bunker returned from Idaho last week, bringing with them Mrs. Bunker's mother, Mrs. Nellie Workman. Mr. and Mrs. John Hannifin visited vis-ited with their son Max and family over the week end. John is getting over an operation for appendicitis performed a month ago. He is doing do-ing well. Jack Singleton, from Baker, Nevada, Ne-vada, was a visitor to Delta last week on business. He is farming the "Big Ranch" at Baker. Mr. and Mrs. George Johns and their three children, from Washington, Wash-ington, visited in Delta this week, In Oasis with his sister, Mrs. Fay Huff, and in Hinckley with Mrs. John's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh , Hilton. They left Wednesday to return re-turn home. Mrs. T. C. Gronning and Mrs. John Hilton returned to Delta a week ago from an extended trip through Arizona. They visited in Phoenix, Mesa, , Thatcher, Pima, Safford and Miami. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Marsh, and their sister, Mrs. Victoria Beck-stead, Beck-stead, from Salt Lake City, spent the week end in Delta, visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Gronning. Lloyd Petty is in the hospital in Provo, for treatments for an affected af-fected leg. Mrs. Petty and daughter, daugh-ter, Darlene, went up on Wednesday Wednes-day to visit him there. Miss Nona Clark returned this week from the canyons, where she has been with the Utah Parks association, as-sociation, and is preparing to go on to Sun Valley, Idaho, for the winter win-ter season. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Pace, from Long Beach, California, drove to Delta Thursday, and are making a visit here. Mrs. Lila Petty and Mrs. Manon Dewsnup are spending this week in Tooele, visiting their cousin, June Williams, and his wife. Mr. Williams returned home recently from the service. Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Harris are leaving Delta on Oct. 6, for a vacation va-cation trip through California and Oregon, visiting friends and relatives. rela-tives. They will be gone until Nov. 1, during which time the Delta Blaoksmith Shop will be closed. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Giles made a trip to McGill this week, where they visited Mr. Giles mother and lister, who had come there from California. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wright, and their four children, visited in Delta Saturday, driving down and back from their home in Springville. Last Friday afternoon Mrs. L. V. Bunker entertained in honor of her mother, Mrs. Nellie Workman. Fifteen Fif-teen of her mother's lady friends were present. Prize winning games were played, with Mrs. Eliza Taylor Tay-lor and Mrs. Lemira Bishop the winners. Light refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pratt from Salt Lake City, spent the weekend in Delta, with Mrs. Pratt's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Day. Miss Mary Peterson from San Francisco, is visiting in Delta with her sister, Mrs. Wanda Beckwith. |
