Show COPPERFIELD BREVITIES The Copperfield Community Club entertained at a card party par-ty and social Friday evening of last week. Five hundred was played, the prize winners being as follows: Ladies first, Miss S. Klopenstine; Consolation, Mrs. Guy McNab. Men's first, Guy McNab. Consolation, Harry M. Bodmer. Earl Nepple won the prize for the games under the direction of F. E. Eberhart. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to seventy sev-enty five. Mrs. Joe Nicholls entertained the ladies of the Aid Society at her home here Friday afternoon of last week. Mr. and Mrs. John Knudsen and daughters, Ruby and Mabel, motored to Park City Sunday to visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. W. Harper and children spent st week end' with relatives at Midvale. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Moss, of Centerville and Miss Luella M. Hatch, of Bountiful, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Grant here Sunday. B. O. Pumphrey left Wednesday Wednes-day on a business trip to Provo. Mrs. J. E. CunlifFe entertained entertain-ed at a turkey dinner Saturday evening in honor of the twenty first birthday anniversary of her son, Fred Anderson. Covers Cov-ers were laid for 'eighteen. Mrs. R. Wednes-day. Mrs. Tom Wilson entertained Sunday evening in honor of the birthday anniversary of her son Woodrow. The invited guests numbered twelve. ' Mrs. Horace Grant and children child-ren spent several days with relatives rel-atives at Bountiful the past week. ' The Copperfield Ladies' Aid will hold a bazaar at the Copper Cop-per Urn kindly lent by Mr. Alex Furlong, on Monday next, Nov. 26th. There will be a sale of home made cakes, pies and of candy included. The Ladies of the above have been sewing for several months, so there will be various useful, also children's garments reasonably priced. Everybody invited to attend the bazaar which will be opened on Monday next at 12 o'clock. Miss Mabel Perry, of Salt Lake, spent last week end here with her mother. Miss Ruby Bullock, of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, is visiting -her parents par-ents here. |
