P Peppard Writes from Kansas City Charlie Peppard writes riles from Cram his home in Kansas City Kansas I certainly enjoy reading the Chronicle and look forward to its arrival here every week My home is right across the road from Cram a Kansas State Park known as Shawnee Mission Shawnee Mission originally consisted of oC 3 acres and was an educational school for Cor the Wyandotte Indians Three buildings are still standing One of oC the buildings building was the first State House for Cor the State of oC Kan Kan- sas Another of oC the buildings still standing was the barracks for Cor the soldiers and the third is a long building used at the time for Cor n a dormitory The Oregon Trail passed right by the doors and was used b by many of oC the 49 The building was erected In 1844 and is of or red redbrick redbrick redbrick brick and in good shape Thought this all might interest you P S.
