Urge Extra Care In Fire Season This is the kind of fire season we can't decide whether to be thankful for or worried about. To date we have had no fires this year on the Fillmore ranger district, and very few in the Fish-lake Fish-lake Forest. For this, all of us can be humbly thankful. BUT - - the lack of fires tends to make us all just a little less careful, a little lit-tle indifferent to the danger that is especially high at this time of year. This is cause for concern. One careless act now, at the -right time and place, could be the start of a costly fire.Nobody wants that, whether it's down here in our back yard or up in the tops of the mountains where it can't get at us directly. So, even though we haven't had even one little fire so far this year, we can all do our Individual part toward preventing pre-venting the one that might occur. Only YOU can prevent the fire that YOU may carelessly start.
