Show 40 YEARS AGO . , . From the Files .... DELTA McClain & Copening report a ready market for city lots and several sales made the past week. California parties have bought with a view of putting up a couple of business houses and several Colorado Colo-rado people have purchased lots upon one of which a bank building will be erected. The first birth to be recorded in the South Tract occurred last week when Mrs. Bud Galloway presented her husband with a fine baby boy. Mrs. Moore, of California, was there to welcome her lusty grandson. grand-son. Hereafter we will keep close tab on the south and west side and see which will carry off the record for babies and brides. The editor (Norman B. Dresser) came over from Fillmore last Sunday Sun-day afternoon with Mr. Clark Callister Cal-lister in his automobile. The trip was made in two hours and thirty-five thirty-five minutes. While the road is pretty fair, it would be greatly improved im-proved if run over with a drag and the hummocks taken off and ruts filled. The well at the depot is down about 175 feet and will be completed com-pleted in a few days. OASIS A new baby girl made her appearance ap-pearance at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson. She arrived on Valentine's Day - - all concerned concern-ed are doing well. A couple of new missionaries arrived ar-rived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sims Hawley. Twin boys, on Feb. 17. Mother and babies are doing nicely.- HINCKLEY The real estate activity at Delta has become contagious and the Hinckley real estate market is getting get-ting quite lively. N. L. Petersen has just sold his splendid 480 acre ranch southwest of Hinckley to Martin Bros., of Colorado. R. E. Rob inson has also sold 40 acres of improved im-proved land to Colorado parties. Charles Burke believes in concentrating concen-trating his efforts on fewer tracts and has sold one of his 40 acres southwest of town. Dana Black shipped another carload car-load of alfalfa seed from Oasis last week and another car will be shipped by the time this is in print. The price paid was ten cents.
