Show Final Rites Held For Oasis Father Funeral services for James F. Thompson.Oasis resident for many years, were conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Oasis ward by Fon Haw-ley. Haw-ley. An eulogy, given by Bishop Peter Pet-er H. Peterson, opened the services, ser-vices, followed by prayer by Howard How-ard Roundy, and a duet, "Rock of Ages," by Ray and Ethel Western, West-ern, with Norma Moody accompanist. accom-panist. The speakers were June W. Black and Peter H. Peterson, who expressed the warm regard felt for Mr. Thompson as a good friend fri-end and neighbor, and one always ready to give his help where needed. need-ed. They spoke of him as a good father and homemaker. He had been close to his children and their interests, and was a worthy citizen in every respect. David Bishop sang a solo, "Teach Me to Pray," and Norma Moody played a piano solo, "O My Father." Clark Bishop offered the benediction, bene-diction, and burial was in the Oasis cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Thomas G. Reld. |
