Sunday evening at Sacrament meeting, Miss Nell Wixom repor-ted her mission in the northern California mission. It was very in-teresting and instructive. Mrs. Lucy Walker and Mrs. Ethelyn Bennett visited their sis-ter, Mrs. Ely Nielson for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Eddy Jacobson had their daughter, Arvilla and baby, visit a few days. Lorenzo Lovell and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Lovell visited in Idaho ov-er the past week end. Edward Lovell from Idaho was an Oak City visitor last week. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Elder and Mrs. Blanchard went to Manti to the temple Tuesday, especially to see the wedding of Miss Nell Wix-om. Melvin Roper and daughter, Af-to-were in Oak City for Mrs. Jacobson's funeral services from Idaho. Howard Dutson returned to Idaho with them for a few days visit. Vonetta Jacobson, Maurine and Colleen Anderson spent the week end at home. They are employed in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Carwin Nielson and iamily from Clearfield were Oak City visitors. Mrs. Clarence East from Provo and her daughter, Betsy from Salt Lake land little girl, are spending this week visiting relatives in Oak City. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Anderson and family have moved to Salt Lake. Mr. Dean Anderson has bou-ght their home and will move into it this week. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Olson and family have returned to Brigham after being here with her father, Wm. Jacobson the past ten days. Miss Nell Barlow and daughter Carol Ann are Oak City visitors. Visitors noticed for the funeral services of Mrs. Jacobson were Mr. and Mrs. Rich Lyman from California, Mr. and Mrs. Lee And-erson, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Ander-son, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Evan ajcobson from Springville. Mrs. Grace Watts, of Oarpenteria Cal., is in Delta visiting her son, P. ,W. Watts, and family. 14 for service overseas, and went directly to Korea. He expects to be home the end of this week on furlough. On Way laoiiM From Korea Mr. and Mrs. Emmer Large lit of. Delta were happy Monday evening to haave a telephone call from their son, Cpl. Emmer T. (Ted) Largent, from San Diego, Cal. He had just arrived that day from Korea, where he has served for the past year with the U. S. Mar-ine corps. Ted was an employe at Quality Market when he enlisted in the marines. He left the states July Mrs. Elma T. Mack, of Provo, visited in Delta over the weekend with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. David Terry. Mr. and Mrs. Monty King, of Great Falls, Mont., are Delta vis-itors with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. L. King. Mrs. Norma Hannifin and daugh-ter, Diane, left Delta early Satur-day for Bryce Canyon lodge, where they will remain the rest of the season and Mrs. Hannifin will be employed as dormitory mother. Her older daughter, Miss Cherie Hannifin, is already employed there, along with Lila Mae Samp-son and Bonnie Black, and the three form a vocal trio on the nightly programs. Miss Dorothy Stephenson, who has been serving in the L D S mission field in the midwest, is returning to her home this week end. For the past six months she has been at Peoria, Iill. She is a daughter of Mrs. Lucile Stephen-son, of Delta. George Roundy, who has been in the veterans hospital in Salt Lake City for an appendectomy, was returned home during the past week, thinner than ever, but feeling much better than when he left Delta. Miss Elaine Archibald, of Kamas Utah visited in Delta during the past week with Mr. and Mrs. Mar-vin Osguthorpe. |
