Show Delta Livestock Auction Reports Thursday Sale At the Delta Livestock Auction Thursday, Sept. 27, receipts were up from the previous week. The market reflected the general slump of last week, with prices steady to slightly weaker than the previous week. Prices and market quotations quota-tions are stronger this week and the sale Oct. 4 should be considr-ably considr-ably better. No Fat. cattle were offered for sale. Sample lots of cattle sold at the following prices: Holstein steers 27.10 - 27.75; feeding cows 18.00 - 25.10 (majority at 23.50 or so); Pairs 272.50; Dairy type and crossbred steers 25.00 - 30.00; Veal calves 33.75; some light cattle offered of-fered on a herd basis at $105.00. Black-faced lambs (fat) sold at 28.25. Light high quality feeding cattle were not available so no quotations are made. Some feeder cows and good qual ity weaner calves are now in the yards for the October 4 sale. 5 " |
