Show Car Hoelzle VISITORS - - Its not exactly a God's country out here in this part of Millard County but it does attract a few visiting guests every ev-ery one and awhile. The newest visitors on the honor list were Mr. and Mrs. Rav Chatwin of Manti and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Reid of California. Mrs. Chatwin is a sister of Mrs. Ted Dennison and spent a a pleasant visit with her last weekend. BIG STEP FINISHED - - Well Abra ham was represented this year at the Hinckley high school graduation gradu-ation when Carl Stoneking walked across the stage and received that "Dear Ole Diploma". We were well represented out here and we all hope Carl can finish every job he starts as he did this one. BULL AND MORE BULL - - Representatives Repre-sentatives from Millard county made a general tour throughout the state last Thursday and Friday Fri-day visiting dairy farms through Central Utah and far north as Richmond where the great Black and White Show is held every year. One of the men making the trip was Mr. Boyd Schena of Abraham. Mr. Schena said the trip was made to visit the different herds and to get a general impression of purebred pure-bred cattle, thus to make advance ment in the work being done in artificial insemination in this coun ty. While up there the party did take in the Black and White Show and were more than impressed with the 3300 pound Holstein bull which took first place in the contest. con-test. All we can say for that is it sounds like a lot of bull .... MOUNTAIN FARMER VISITS THE FLAT - - Even more visitors around ar-ound here, for Mr. and Mrs. Barker Bar-ker were the proud hosts of-Mr. Barker 's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Barker , of North Ogden, this weekend. Mr. Barker is a fruit and dairy farmer up in North Ogden Og-den and more than likely after visiting and seeing the country around here he found it very much different from the type of land he does his farming on - - but we hope he liked it. EEK! AND THEN THERE WAS SNOW - - Over the weekend Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bliss, Mr .and Mrs. Kenneth Reid and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Reid decided to get out and give their eyes a change of view |
