Show SUTHERLAND . . . Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen have returned from their trip to Illinois. They have been gone for two weeks, and report having fished in the Mississippi River. Rulon Jensen came from Spanish Span-ish Fork on Sunday to get his small son, Dean, who has been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Jenson of Sugarville. Mr. and Mrs. Auer Jensen of Wendover visited for a week at the home of Mrs. Jensen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wind. Mr. and Mrs. Manly Abbott of Ogden visited in Sugarville last Thursday with' their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Abbott and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Terry. Mr. and Mrs. Sid Robertson o'f Helena, Montana are visiting Mrs. Robertson's sister, Mrs. George Jenson on the North Tract. Mr. and Mrs. Vic Finken of Iowa are visiting in Sutherland with Mr. and Mrs. Armond Ogden. Mrs. Fin-ken Fin-ken is the former DeJoy Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Tippetts made a trip to Wayne county on Sunday. Miss Barbara Robison of Salt Lake City is, visiting with her brother bro-ther and sister, Ben Robison and Mrs. Bernard Jackson. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Austin are here visiting at the homes of Mrs. Austin's sisters and brother. Mrs. Austin was Shirley Jackson. Mr. and Mrs. William Overson have moved from Sugarville to Lynndyl. Mr. and Mrs. John Hersleff and their daughter, Katherine Schaffer toured southern Utah on the Labor Day weekend. Miss Earlene Egan, daughter of Mrs. Roy Egan of Great Falls, Mont., visited in Sutherland last week with relatives. She returned as far as Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Owens and LaVar Owens, who made a short visit there. Jack Fowles made a trip to Salt Lake City Monday to register at Westminster college. Miss Zoe Porter accompanied him. Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Jensen recently returned from a 3-week trip to Illinois, were in Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant during the week to see Mr. Jensen's mother, who has been ill. Mrs. Jennie Thornton and daughter, daugh-ter, May, are home after a month in southern Utah. Mrs. Thornton's daughter, Mrs. Myrl Garrett of Lehi spent the past week with them returning home Sunday. Albert M. Ogden, who has been in the LDS hospital for an operation opera-tion had another operation there Monday morning. T. George Theobald, who was constructing the new Sutherland ward chapel when he was taken to Salt Lake for surgery, is reported much improved and has been released re-leased from the hospital. There was a fireside chat Sunday Sun-day night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Robison. visitors at the home were her sisters sis-ters and brother, as well as her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Curtiss of Salt Lake City were also callers at the Damron home. Mrs. Verne Parry has house guests from California and Washington, Wash-ington, relatives who came to attend at-tend the funeral of her father, Mr. Albert Carrington. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Western of Provo were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Western over the weekend. They came to attend at-tend the wedding reception of the new Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Western Mr. and Mrs. Galey Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith of Grantsville spent the weekend visiting vis-iting Mrs. Myrtis Smith. Mr. and Mrs. George Overman and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Mech-am Mech-am of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hibbard and two children of Ely, Nev., and Mr. and Mrs. H. Hibbard from Deep Creek, spent the past weekend with Mrs. Beth Anderson. I |
