Show Duck Season Vill Close Friday, Dec. 2 The duck and goose shooting season in Utah will close a few minutes after four o'clock this coming Friday, Dec. 2. This will conclude a 50-day season. Early the shooting was good and almost any hunter could get his limit of five ducks within a short time, but about halfway through the season the ducks left and the weather did not get cold enough to drive in more ducks and geese. The stubbles have been the most popular spots for geese, and there have been a good number of them here this year. Many hunters have gotten geese this year, with some of them getting them almost daily. Clear Lake was closed Mondays and Thursday durmg the season to give the birds a chance to rest up and in hopes of holding more here for the hunting season. Throughout Utah the story has been the same this year; a good start on the season, but the open weather and clear days have made the hunting very poor for the lat- ter part of the season. |
