Show OASIS Mrs. La Veda Bishop Mrs. John Murray, the former Virgie Sjostrom, from Sacrameno, California, visited last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hilding Sjostrom. She left Tuesday to return re-turn to her home. Miss Betty Johnson, who has been in Salt Lake City working for some time, visited with her parents par-ents over the holiday weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hawley and family have gone over to the east side of the county where Melvin will work for the next little while, and Pearl will see that he gets proper nourishment. Mrs. Bette Black Kelly went to Salt Lake City Tuesday to attend the funeral services of her aunt, Mrs. Zella Palmer Sorenson, which will be held Wednesday. Miss Helen Jean Christensen returned re-turned Monday from a trip to Salt Lake. She accompanied her sister, Mrs. Vera Stevens of Hinckley. Peter A. Peterson celebrated his 77th birthday on June 26. About 20 guests spent the afternoon and early evening with him and ate birthday dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Kelly and daughter, Patricia, from Boise, Idaho, Ida-ho, visited their sister, Biah Sjostrom, Sjost-rom, and brother, Oscar Kelly, the last week in June. Mr. and Mrs. Harmes, the former Fay Huff, and daughters, Claree and Joyce, visited with Mrs. Hannah Han-nah Huff over the holiday week end. Mr. and Mrs. Harmes returned to their home in Salt Lake Monday and the two girls remained for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. John Fitzpatrick of Richmond, Washington, are visiting with their grandmother, Mrs. Hannah Han-nah Huff. Mrs. Fitzpatrick is the former Willa Mary Huff Mr. and Mrs. Scotty Birrell, of Salt Lake City, visited over the weekend with Mrs. Birrell's sister, Mrs. Vernessa Skeem and Mrs. Cassie Johnson and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Nelson and sons, and Miss Laura Hansen of Salt Lake, visited Saturday and Sunday at the Cecil Cahoon home. Ray Cahoon took his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Cahoon for a ride Monday and the first thing they knew they were in Richfield. So what to do but see the rodeo? Gloria Stewart spent the holiday weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Nichols. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kelly spent the Fourth at Fish Lake. Oscar lost out again, his wife caught most of the fish Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Skidmore of Delta went to Salt Lake to attend the funeral services of their brother in-law, William O. Dix last Saturday. Satur-day. Howard Roundy left Oasis Tuesday Tues-day for Salt Lake City, where he will be a member of Boys State for the next two weeks. We are very proud to have a representative from our community attend this affair. Last Friday Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Manz and three children arrived to visit their mother, Mrs. Jensene Anderson. Mr. Manz returned to their home in Portland, Oregon on Sunday, leaving Mrs. Manz and the children to spend three weeks here. Bryan Ewing from Sherman Oaks California, spent a week as guest at the Anderson home. Berdell Memmott visited in Salt Lake over the holiday weekend. Mrs. Annie Skeem is in Salt .Lake for a few days |
