Show PslSMMi Holds l-Afissua! Meet Ad j fe mA Dance There were 206 Delta high school I alumni present for the banquet and ' dance Wednesdaoy night, Dec. 29, that marked the auunal reunion. I The banquet tables were set in the I gymnasium, where the decorations from the Senior Plop were used. Pink roses and blue streamers were used along the tables and the Hop theme, Stars Will Remember, formed form-ed the background of blue sky and stars. Willard Stephenson was master of ceremonies for the occasion. The staff from Hatch's City Cafe served the banquet. Taking part on the program were Maurine Robins, song; Eugene Holman, piano solo; Eldon Sorenson, saw solo; Lee Ray McAllister, song; Dick Wind, reading. read-ing. Toasts (were responded to by Mayor Golden H. Black, Dr. M. E. Bird, Clint Larson, George Ashby, Ward Killpack and Ward Moody. Mrs. Thelma Seegmiller led the candlelight ceremony that honored the memory of those alumni who have died. The annual party is also election time. The following officers were elected: president, Bud Bassett; vice-president, Fred Baker; secretary, secre-tary, Shirley Bulkley. The committee commit-tee for next year's party is headed by Clint Larson, with Don Bird, Roger Walker and Bonnie J. Max-field, Max-field, members. Following election there was dancing until midnight to the music of Kendalls orchestra from Nephi. Every class from the D. H. S. was represented that nigh't. Mrs. Reva Skidmore, Orvil Jeffery and Mayor Black were graduates of the first three years. Other classes were more heavily represented. Attending Attend-ing from out of town were Mrs. Nedra Bullock Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Auer Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. George Ashby. |
