Show Supper and Sale Nets Sum for It. S. The Relief Society of Delta Third ward and their president, Beryl Bennion, thank the public for the fJ"e support they gave them at thir bazaar and chicken supper last Thursday night. More than $400 was taken in that night, and after expenses are paid, which were light, a neat sum will go into the treasury. The supper was served in the hot lunch room at the Delta high school to 247 patrons. Following the supper hours, a program was given in the high school auditorium. auditori-um. Miss Lorraine Henrie sang 2 songs preceding the tableaux. Memories" was the theme for the program .and portrayed scenes in one man's life from the cradle to the altar. The chorus behind the scenes gave the music, and the reader was Sterling Bennion.Taking part in the various tableax were Frances Whicker, Dorothy Hall, La-thel La-thel Callister, and son and daughter, daugh-ter, Utahna Morrill, Merlin Forster, Dwayne Jeffery, Colleen Riding and Hamilton McCullough. Then the sale of articles opened with a wide variety of handmade work by the Relief Socitey members. mem-bers. These went like the proverbial proverb-ial hot cakes. And those responsible respon-sible for the occasion went home, proud of a pleasant and profitable evenings. |
