Show ed Co-ed Control I f One of the most unique features about our University isi is is' is the- the almost absolute te freedom which h is is' enjoyed by our women students On the other campuses chiefly campuses chiefly those which are not lo located located lo- lo 7 ted in cities as large as Salt Lake City rules City rules concerning the h hours urs which the thc co- co eds co-eds ds must keep are very much in vogue Women living in dormitories can have dates only at certain hours liourS These hours vary according to the class in which the student is Failure to keep within the stated times results in all ll kinds of troubles At times these rules have been known to be extended to the men students also Most 1 of our co eds on this campus live either at home or ort at t their sorority or boarding houses where rules concerning the he hours they keep are very lax Outside of possibly a little parental control they are allowed to come and go as they wish They may have dates every night during the week if they wish and unless it is otherwise ruled by mother or father these dates may last as as' late as the coed desires This condition has both advantages and disadvantages Some ome of our women students are able to regulate their time in such a manner that their school work suffers no neglect Oth Others rs however seem seel unable to manager the matter for the themselves at all For those regulation of their h hours mrs by the authorities might prove to be a highly desirable thing At any rate under the existing conditions any control by bythe bythe bythe the school authorities of the hours which our co eds keep is impossible In the meantime our women students should be learning invaluable l lessons in n ordering adjusting and ruling their own lives |
