Hagan who heads heMs the zoology department Tho animal cracked and devoured the two eggs and then was declared by Professor ProCessor Hagan to be well fed ted The animal will not need another meal for tor two months he said and at the tho end of ot that time t two o more eggs will suffice to carry It over tho the winter The next morning however the gila monster was gone and though a search was made In almost every part of the museum building no trace of ot It could be found It was wis was thought that the monster had been stolen because because because be be- cause of ot the difficulty apparent for Cor its escape For or this reason nothing more was done about the matter Yesterday after an as absence of throe weeks the reptile was found in the zoology laboratory room in as fine I condition as when It left teft Although It Is possible that someone someone some one borrowed the animal anima animal and anal n has I now returned It circumstantial evidence evi evi- evidence dence on hand points toward a forced leave of ot absence or rather an A A W.
