Show H THE HOUSING PROBLEM H: j The Colleges are going right up again- H I st the real thing in the matter of the hous H ing problem. Not that we are any worse Hr ! off here than in any other parjt of the Hf country as far as houses are concerned, . the difference being that we need them K vorse at this time of the year clue to the Hj' demand for students who desire to come H.1 ( here to school. And too, the vocational H students that are coming here for special . H-. ' training add a feature that Logan has not been called ui)on to meet before. H These, students a .great many of them H married, want furnished apartments and H a great many of them are willing to pay H a good price for good accomodations. H; The matter is an urgent'one and should Hj' be met with all the speed and accomplish-Hl accomplish-Hl ment possible. H It will be recalled that something over H one year ago the editor of this paper told Ik the Chamber of Commerce that this ques- H tion was the most pressiing one confront- Hj jui& us and that steps should at once bet H taken to solve the problem. At that time H we were told that it was not a public ques I H tion, but an individual matter that j H'' ;would solve itself. Although we were' H right we could not convince our brethren . H jand nothing was done, but now at the I H eleventh hour we find ourselves up again- H st it and find it the most pressing public H jcuieslion of the hour. H 9 The Clubs, College authorities and citizens in general have taken hold of the flatter in e'arnest and it is to be hoped, , that sufficient accommodations will be H inade ready for all who desire to come B 0 Logan. All good citizens should eavn- I i estly cooperate. i -i -. |
