Show BASEBALL COMMITTEE COM-MITTEE HARD AT JVORK On Tuesday cvenlug tho busebdll tnd Bporta committee with members of the baseball council met and ru-telvi-d their lists with allotments for the drive for funds lor tho local baseball budget. A considerable amount must be raised aside from (he receipts from the games. Man-iger Man-iger Coburn is getting a good llnup of players and on tho opening day Will make them step some. Mr. McOUl and Mr. Frank or the local carpenters union wero present and stated that the union would make a contribution from Its general gener-al fund for the baseball fund and that the members would glvo some donation work In tho construction or tho grand stand, fences, etc. This very generous contribution was accepted ac-cepted with" thanks. The baseball committee Is open for contributions from nny other orgnnlatlou or union. The carpenters union have shown a very lojal spirit In the matter. As to how far the L. D. 8. church will cooperate .with the committee In making the 11. V campus a public athletic field will be made known erj soon. The committee is very desirous to stnrt something |
