AT PRESTON Friday one of the high mmool do-bating do-bating teams of the Ilrlgham Young , College meets the Oneida Stake Aca-dom) Aca-dom) debating team at Preston. The question to be debated Is: Resolved that the United States should inaugurate inau-gurate an industrial rout- patterned after the plan of Kansas. Each team will consist of threo members. Those representing the n. Y. on the nlllrm-nthe nlllrm-nthe side are Weston Vernon. Marguerite Mar-guerite Maughan and Lester Hlnst. Although the high school team bao been working for some time this Is tho first time an inter-school debate as the students of the various high schools of the northern division seem not to bo enthusiastic over the Intel-1 lectual contest and have consented to n forfeit one nfter another until It Iseeins that the Oneida Stake Aca-idemy. Aca-idemy. the Ilrlgham Young College and the Ilox Elder Hlg'.i are all that am able to furnish teams for the debating contest of this dlvtlon. On Saturday afternoon one of the most interesting events to tho valley generally will be the cross country (run which Includes ten students from 'each of the five high school deparr-1 deparr-1 meats in tho valley. Thu contest 'will bo hold over tho same ground, as that covered by Ilrlgham Young College cross country runners last Friday. The scoring arranged Is as follows: The first man to cross the line on tho return will receive 50 points for hts school the second 40 points, the third 4S. etc. Tho students stu-dents chosen from tho Ilrlgham Young College ate M.
