Hill gavo a five minute talk on pep ami friendship emphasizing the democratic democrat-ic spirit that is so prevalent at the college. Following Dr. Hill, Leo Hlggins gavo a good line of jokes and comic stories. After practicing college songs and cheers, under the direction of song leader,' Victor Lln-hlad, Lln-hlad, the guests were served' doughnuts, dough-nuts, cldor and candy. President E. J. Diehl called the first meeting of the student body executive ex-ecutive committee Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 12 o'clock. Secretary Coburn reported that the financial standing of tho organization was better than It had been for years. An open discussion dis-cussion on problems for tho coining year and arrangements for tho opening op-ening social to bo held Saturday, Sopt. 24, occupied most. of tho hour. |
