At a meeting of the Cache P,;arJ of Education held Saturday last, bMv were lecelved for nil and for one half of tho $400,000 of bonds recently recent-ly voted, by the Cache County school district. Tho competition was keen consldeilng the present uncertainty of tho bond market. Six bids weic received, as follows: Palmer Bond and Mortgage Co.. bid 93.80 for tho entire Issue and 95.'.'3 for ono halt tho Ibsuo. Tho latter bid specified bonds maturing $ '0,0 00 each year for ten years. Cacho Valley " Banking Co. b't' 04.25 for all or one halt the Usi'e, proceeds to be left on deposit at the bank until used without Interest. Thatcher Bros. Banking Co. bid $93.30 for ono half the Issue, time certificates of deposit to bo Issued bearing 5 per cent Interest. , Heeler Bros bid 93.00 for all or one half of entire lssuo. Bosworth Chanute Co. bid 92.51 for all or one half of lssuo. E. II. Rollins. & Sons bid 90.52 or all or ono half of issue. After considering all bids submitted submit-ted and taking Into consideration the absoluto need of a now hlsh school building at North Cache, the board decided to accept tho bid of tho Palmor Bond & Mortgage Co. of 95.23 for $200,000, or ono half tho total of bonds authorized at the recent re-cent election. It Is proposed to withhold with-hold tho balance of tho bond Issue and delay the remainder of tho building build-ing program until maikot conditions, Improve. |
