Convictions for disloyalty and political poli-tical bank faillures ar eall brushed away as persecution of tin faithful and the league goes on organizing. Strenuous work is being done to revive the league's waning fortunes In Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Ida- j I ho, Washington and other western states. In Kansas a newspaper with a state wide circulation has been established es-tablished and in Nebraska a fight is on for control oft he convention to frame a new constitution. The same program la adhered to In each state, and where the labor I party unites with the Nonpartisan League another platform Is put up with laor demands. The league program pro-gram follows: 1. The Initiative, referendum, and recall. 2. Exemption of farm Improvements Improve-ments from taxation. :i. tSate terminal elevators, flour mills, stock aids, packing houses, oil refineries, cold storage plants and creameries. 4. State crop and livestock Insur- I mice. '&. State owned and operated telephone tel-ephone system. 6. Rural credit bank operated at cost. The league is active enough to make it dungerous and constant effort ef-fort is necessary to defeat its influence. |
