Show MORE COOPERATION It is not possible for all towns to maintain main-tain a big organization that has for its purpose the bringing in of new enterprises, enterpris-es, and with a paid secretary whose du-Ities du-Ities it is to promote civic welfare. But it is in the power of every town, no matter 'how small, to show the same spirit of co-' co-' operation in matters which benefit the L public as a whole as is shown by the Com-Imercial Com-Imercial clubs, the Chamber of Commerce lor whatever name they go by. A We don't have to belong to an organiza-M organiza-M 4n here in Logan to know what the i town needs and what wSuld' help it to grow and the people tk became more prosperous. We know what we need but single handed we can't accomplish it. It is only through cooperation, and that of the heartiest sort that we can do for our town and community what big city organ izations do. We firmly believe that with a community meeting occasionally to discuss dis-cuss public affairs, the needs of the town and improvements that should be made, we could bring out this cooperation in a splendid way. Merely suggesting that "we need" suogj and such an improvement is not going to get it. If there is a factory or plant of any kind seeking a location it is not going to come here on the invitation of one or two or three citizens. The mer back of it must know that all the people want it, thatj we are cooperating with each other to make this a better town, and that we have the interest of each other at heart. i We are starting on a new year. We have a splendid chance to make it the biggest, big-gest, the brightest, the most prosperous one this community ever enjoyed. Whv not start an agitation now that will bring it about through a few public meetings at which we can talk it over and then act ; on the things we decided best for the town I and its people? |
