Show MISS CLARK TELLS OF FIRST EXPERIENCE Marguerite Clark, tho moving plc-turo plc-turo Btnr, has written an article for tho December American Magazine In which sho says: "But there wero months before I got rid of It. I can still remember how embarassed I was when I first acted for a camera. In the theater, rehearsals are private. Tho only persons per-sons present aro those who aro connected con-nected with the play In some capacity capac-ity or other. But In a moving picture pic-ture studio' everybody who happen1 not to have anything to do for the moment stands around and watches thoso who have. Tho first day I went to work It seemed to me that everybody one had ever heard of in connection with the films had taken u day off to watch me. Among thorn was Miss Plckford, and you can imagine im-agine how much at ease I was. Of course neither Miss Plckford nor anybody else had any Idea they wero embarrassing me, as it was an every day affair to them. But It was good for me. and now I'm as hardened to spectators as anybody." o |
