A business busi-ness deal involving several thousand thous-and dollars and backed by somo of our most prominent citizens was consummated last wesk when the stock and fixtures of James A. Daincs' store was turned over to a company consisting of Professor Franklin L. Daines, George S. Dalnes, J. W. Perkes and others. James A. Dalnes Is retained as manager. Miss Maud Peterson and Miss Vera Ash-croft Ash-croft have been employed as clerks. It Is the purpose of this company to curry on n general merchandise business, busi-ness, catering to the wants of their many customers. We wish them success suc-cess In their new undertaking. Mr, and Mrs. Henry Petorsen, of Parry, Box Elder County, havo boon in our town the past week visiting friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Lola E. Jorgenson nnd Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Laursen arn rejoicing over tho arrivals of baby boys. Mr. nnd Mrs. Christian Mlckelsen of Logan, formerly our prosperous merchunts, were visiting lu Hyde Park on Monday, the guests of Mr. and MrK. Moses Mlckelsen. Mr. Hyrum Peterson, formerly our blacksmith, but now working In Hrlghnm, was visiting In Hydo Park tho forepart of tho week. Mr. George D. Seamons Is homo from tho Utah-Idaho hospital where she recently underwent an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hawks wore visiting in Preston, Idaho, the past week, haying gonq there to uttond n reunion of the Hawks family, Mr. and Mrs Fred T. Ilallam nnd Mr, and Mrs. R. S. McQuarrlu are visitors to Ogden tho past week having hav-ing been called there on account of the serious illnees of their father lllshop Robert McQuurrlo. The work of reloading tho beets which have been piled at tho two loading Rtatlons In .Hyde Park, haR commenced, several hundred tons having been loaded last week by our busy farmers. .Mr. George S.
