Ily order of BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS. adv. Buy your goods at home. From Credit to Cash n 1- On And After June 1st, 1917, ' We Will Sell Fpr Cash Only REAB THE REASONS Your own welfare is always the thing that deserves your most careful consideration. Upon you men and women, as heads of your families, lies the responsibility of conducting your business in such a way that will give to those dependent upon you the greatest possible amount of comfort. In making the change in our business methods, which we are now announcing to you, we, the merchants of Logan, have had this thought clearly before us. In any business there are three importarnand essential factors the producer, the seller and the consumer. The most important im-portant factor in any business is-the consumer the man who uses the goods. He therefore deserves our most careful attention. A merchant's interests are very closely associated with his consumer's interests and of the general interest of the community in which he lives and earns his bread and1 butter. After a very careful consideration of the subject and a thorough investigation of the many communities where it has been tried, together with an observation of the conditions extending over many years, on the part of some of us, and a discussion lasting through several months, we have reached the conclusion that: "CASH BUSINESS IS BETTER FOR THE GENERAL GOOD OF THE COMMUNITY THAN CREDIT BUSINESS." While this announcement appears over several names, we wish to say that there is not the faintest idea of any combination to discriminate against the buying public. We have united upon this for but one reason we believe it is for the general good of thecommunity at large. 'It has been discussed together in the same spirit in which we have met and discussed school questions, good roads, county fairs, chautauquas and other topics of the general good. We are sure that our stand is just and right. We appeal to you as intelligent ambitious business men and women to take the sane and honest view of the question and give it your most careful consideration. Then join with us as we have always united with you in a spirit of earnest co-operation and let us all pull together to develop the "PAY AS YOU GO" system and make LOGAN and community the most prosperous community in all this prosperous state. Our children will then develop into better men and women, our homes will be brighter, our land will be worth more, a GREATER SPIRIT OF CONTENTMENT CON-TENTMENT WILL PREVAIL AND WE WILL ALL BE MORE HAPPY.
