Show DR. PARKINSON AT LEWISTON ESCAPES INJURY Automobile Collides With A Street Car And Is Demolished Lewlston, Dec. 14. Dr. W. B. Parkinson escaped death In a very miraculous manner. Thursday afternoon. after-noon. The north bound car failed to whistle at a crossing. The doctor did not notice the car being so close and collided with It. Ho was thrown out upon tho cow pit and tho car completely demolished. Mrs. Myrtle Pond entertained tho Ladles Art and Literary Club last Friday afternoon. Tho lesson, Sonnets Son-nets from tho Portuguese was given by Mrs. Stella Bell. Following the lesson tho hostess served refreshments refresh-ments to Mrs. Stolla Bell,. A benefit play entitled, "No Man Wanted," under tho auspices of the Second ward M. I. A. was given in the meeting house Friday night. Their daughter Delva submitted to a very serious operation, but at the last report re-port was doing nicely. Mrs. J. C. Olsen and Miss Amanda Olson of Logan, spent Sunday In Lowlston. Mrs. Eva Parkinson, Mrs. Maymo Cronk, Mr. and Mrs. George VUIett, were Lognn visitors Inst Saturday. Messrs StUlman Pond, Ira Hyer, Ralph Hyer, Fay Bernhlsel and Richard Bowden were examined by a navy recruiting officer Tuesday. Ira Hyenwns the only ono passing the examination.
