" Tho Sixth ward old people, were royally entertained on Thursday by tho committee and various assistants. Tho published program was changed somewhat to suit tho occasion and when tho day's entertainment was concluded, upon the motion of Olof I. Pederson, tho old people voted tho tlmo had, one of tho best ever. Just boforo luncheon was served, , tho ward malo chorus sang a beautiful beauti-ful selection. There wero over one hundred persons Included In the serving serv-ing of dinner. While passing, It might be said that everybody In tho ward took It upon themselves to see that tho old peoplo wore glvon a good time. Especially do wo wish to mention tho contribution of Ilelmar Pedersen of tho Palaco Grocery, consisting of several pounds of that delicious Murphy'a Hotel Utah coffee, which was drank with n relish by all present pres-ent who indulgo In tho drinking of coffeo. The singing of Itoy Purcoll and Edmund Spencer and assisted by John J. Roberts was highly appreciated appreci-ated by the guests of tho afternoon. Attorney Fonnesbcck gave his usual comic reading. Mrs. ItoUndy's recitation re-citation was very entertaining. Talks wero given by J. C. Knowlcs, of tho committee, and IMshop O. F. nice. Tho Stark sisters sang n duot to nn encore, nnd Frank DaUgh, Sr., sang a couple of solos.
