IN FULL SWING College And Fourth Year Students In The Lead Other Activities The class series In basketball at the Brlgham Young College aro proving prov-ing very interesting and exciting. Probably there has never been so much class spirit shown. On Monday afternoon tho two games resulted In an easy victory of the Third ye.iru over tho Firsts, and a hard fought game in which the Fourth years won over tho Seconds. Tho score In the latter game was li to 16. In last night's game is one of the best games of the series so far, the Third years won a victor- over the Second years. Tho score, 21 to G, does not Indicate tho game as It really re-ally nppeared, the Second years did much better team playing than the score seems to indicate. They were off their luck In basket pitching. Tho interest of todays games centers around tho College and tho Fourth year class, neither of which has as yet been defeated. First place for tho season will be captured by either the winner of tonight's game or the tho Seconds. The College library has been closed for the day and will most likely be closed tomorrow and part of Friday. Fri-day. A report of Kappa-Nu activities today in the special meeting made clear the fact that this society had boon doing her bit and doing it well. Twenty-seven Christmas boxes had been provided and packed and delivered de-livered to Red Cross headquarters for shipment to the soldiers. The College senate met at 8 a. m. today and discussed the problem of Year Book. It seemed to bo the sentiment senti-ment of those present that although by making a special effort the book might be got out even without the amount contributed to the Liberty Bond, it would be wise to uso economy econ-omy and not produce tho book this year. t |
