Show HAPPENINGS OF THE WEEK k HYRUM Hyrum, August 28. On Saturday, tho 25th tho regular monthly Priesthood Priest-hood meeting of tho Hyrum Stake was held at 10 a. m. in tho Third ward meeting house considering tho extremely busy season thero was qulto a nice representation of tho brothern b earing tho Presthood and also of tho presiding olllccrs of tho various auxiliary organizations. At 8 a. m. tho stake high council held their r.egular session In their room at tho tithing office. Sunday evening tho 2Gth tho Sunday Sun-day Schools of the three wards held their monthly conjoint review meeting meet-ing In tho Third ward meeting house. Tho meeting was very well attended and an excelont program was rendered render-ed by tho three schools which amply repaid all for coming out. A week ago Saturday Dr. L. S. Campbell o'f the U. S. Department of Agriculture and Mr. Fred Hansen, from tho office of Stato Veterinarian visited the Com Jersey Farm and test ed tho entire herd of thlrty-ono Jer seys for tuberculosis. Every animal provod to bo entirely freo from any symptoms of tho disease and the ilsraelscn Land and LIvo Stock Co. can bo proud of tho splendid herd of Jersey cows which they havo been building up for tho last fow years. Dr. Campbell who has been in tho Government servlco for nineteen years, and Is acquainted with conditions con-ditions throughout tho country said that ho know no other section In the United States so freo from this disease as Cache Valley. While here ho has tested seven registered herds totaling 174 dairy animals, .and found only one "reaction," nnd I this ono was a cow recently Bhlpped Into this valley from New York,. During tho recent sickness of Mr. Albert J. Williams, somo base fellow most shamefully took advantago of tho situation and went Into Mr. Williams' Wil-liams' yard and took the boxings out of tho thrco weels of his delivery wagon, broaklng tho fourth wheel in the attempt to got tho boxing out of It. Tho burs of tho wagon disappeared disap-peared also with tho boxings. It Is to bo hoped that tho bullty party or portles may soon bo found out and placed face to faco with justice. A new baby arrived at tho homo of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. It. Nielsen of the Second ward last week. All concerned con-cerned aro doing nicely. A baby boy was born to Mr. nnd Mrs. Morris Nielsen of tho First ward Friday morning. All concorned aro happy over tho safe arrival of tho boy. A most pleasant surprlso party was given Miss Walbory Peterson at her residence In tho Third ward last week. It was a real surprlso party, as Miss Peterson was not oven nt homo when tho quests arrived, and Mrs. Aaron Christiansen had to mako I a flying trip to Logan to bring Miss i Peterson homo. Mrs. Pctts from Missouri and Miss Graco Autrlets wero special guests. Mrs. II. P. Nlolscn wont down to Fort Douglas to soo her son, Axlo, who Is enlisted In tho national guard. During her stay sho had tho opportunity oppor-tunity to shako hands with all tho Hyrum boys thero and Is reporting thorn all fooling flno. Mrs. Nlolscn spent a foronoon watching tho boys drill and then aftorward march In lino to tholr dlnnor, which she considered con-sidered qulto interesting.
