Show COUNTY SCHOOLS TO OPENSEPT. 1d Supt. It. V. Larsen announces that the county Bchools will commence on September 10. This Is a little early, but during part of all of tho month of October tho schools will closo again for beet digging. This Is a custom which was started In Cache county several years ago, but now It is practiced throughout the state, except ex-cept Salt Lake City. Tho County High school will commence com-mence October 29. The delay hero in opening Is due to tho fact that most of the students are large enough to glvo valuable service on tho farms. When tho high Bchools do open up, they will probably hold" school on Saturdays and cut out holidays. These are war times, and the schools must adjust their work to help keep tho war going. All the school buildings of tho county aro being renovated and put In tho best possible sliapo. Coal Is being stored at all the school houses In order to insure tho keeping of schools tho full tlmo after they onco got to going. |
