A strong committee of seven, consisting con-sisting of Geo. W. Skldmoro, H. E. Hatch, M. S. Eccles, Geo. B. Dowcn, D. H. Thomas, H. Bullen and ProL J. T. Calno were appointed with full power to act and to take Immediate Imme-diate action at onco to secure hay for Cache county at any cost. Tho committee com-mittee met Immediately after the club meeting nnd decided to get tho cars of hay which are In transit or are being loaded, hero as soon as possible pos-sible nnd if necessary send a representative repre-sentative of the club throughout tho northwest to purchaso hay and follow fol-low tho cars up to seo that they arrive ar-rive hero without dolay. Mr. Geo. B. Bowcn, H. E. I'orry nnd othors are to bo commended for tho way they have- worked to provldo feed for tho stock, and tho fair distribution. dis-tribution. Tho following nominees were elected el-ected to Bervo on tho board for tho torm of flvo years: Olof Nelson, C. M. Chrlstonsen, J. W. Morroll, A. D. Bell and Geo. B. Bowon. Tho following applicants wero unanimously un-animously elected as members of tho club: S. A. Hlvely, Leo Hanson and O. A. Garff, Logan. Mr. E. T. Lewis recommended that a campaign be made to have all front fences In the central sections of the city removed, that nil vacant lots be utilized for gardens, and that the rear of the square bo formod more In tho naturo of a park so that It could bo used more by the public. All the recommendations wero unanl niously adopted. A number of slogans for Logan wero read and a committee consisting consist-ing of Dr. George It. Hill, Prof. Rnv B. West, Prof. P. It. Arnold, E. P. Bacon and Joseph Odell were appointed ap-pointed to decide on the best slogan. The committee met and decided that the contost be continued for another thirty days and that it bo advertised In the local, Salt Lako City, pgden, college and high school papers. Tho spoclal committee appointed to secure the establishment of n pea cannery In Cache county reported Its flndlngs and recommonded that their data nnd report bo handod to tho directors di-rectors of tho Cache County Farmers Society of Equity and that they bo requestod to follow tho matter up diligently di-ligently and give this county a good test for the growing of peas this year |
